Explores topics in environmental sociology and a sociological approach to environmental problems, with an emphasis on the social inequality embedded in such problems. Environment and environmental problems are understood as actually existing sets of material conditions and, simultaneously, as social constructions; the outcomes of uneven social structures and historical forces.
