In Mia’s own words: "Hi, I’m Mia, and I’m originally from Iran. I’m currently pursuing my Master’s in Civil Engineering with a focus on Project and Construction Management at UBC. I’m thrilled to join the DRRN team and excited about the opportunity to contribute to such important work. Outside of my studies, I’m passionate about staying active—I love running, hiking, and playing basketball. I also enjoy reading, especially when I can spend time outdoors surrounded by nature!"
Mia’s decision to join DRRN as a Program Assistant reflects her commitment to supporting the network’s mission of advancing transdisciplinary and inclusive disaster research.
