A Future for Memory: Care and Healing after 3.11
In this talk, Dr. Nakamura examines the ways in which memory, care, and healing are embedded in art, material culture, and personal narratives following the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami. She will discuss how communities use objects and artistic practices to navigate loss and resilience in the aftermath of disaster.

Curating 3.11
This presentation explores Dr. Nakamura’s curatorial work on exhibitions related to 3.11 and how museums and cultural institutions shape public understanding of disaster and recovery. Drawing from her own curatorial experiences, she will reflect on the role of exhibitions as spaces for storytelling, remembrance, and resilience.
